Alicia’s Gunshot Recovery Fund

My 26-year-old daughter Alicia Nilo was training for a half marathon that would take place in 3 days, running on a trail next to a busy road in Vancouver WA when a bullet struck her hip and ripped through her lower body.
She was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where surgeons found the bullet so deeply, intricately lodged that it cannot possibly be retrieved without causing major damage to her nerves and internal organs.
She continues to be in a lot of pain. The crime is meanwhile under investigation.
Although she was very calm during the incident, days later, she began to emerge from the shock. She is physically and mentally exhausted, being in and out of the hospital and physical therapy, and filling out massive piles of investigative paperwork.
Her family is raising funds to buy a special pressure-point mattress that won’t hurt her hip as much to sleep on, as well as meals delivered to her home. She has numerous out-of-pocket hospital bills, physical therapy bills, and medical expenses mounting up. She also needs to buy body equipment that will gradually and appropriately restore her mobility as she heals. Any amount helps.
❤️Thank you for helping Alicia recover from this gunshot wound, we appreciate it very much!
