Help Alicia’s cat Grayson live happily ever after

At just three years old, Grayson Miles has been diagnosed with F.I.C. (feline idiopathic cystitis). He is currently (and will remain) on a prescription diet. After many flare ups, including urinary blockages, and continuous debris in his bladder, it has been recommended by vets that he have P.U. (perineal urethrostomy) surgery. This surgery will not cure his F.I.C. but should minimize the risk of future urethral obstruction episodes. This surgery is estimated at between $4,000 - $5,000. This will be Grayson’s second major surgery in his short life. In 2021, at just a few months shy of two years old, Grayson underwent a femoral head ostectomy (due to genetics, not an injury), costing his mommy just shy of $4,500. In 2023 alone, mommy has already ‘spent’ a tad over $5,200 in vet bills for this fur baby, maxing out her CareCredit limit and now placing vet bills on another credit card.
In his short life, Grayson has already known a few homes. However, he has found his forever home with his forever mommy, Alicia, who wants nothing but a good life for him. Alicia adopted Grayson a couple weeks before his first birthday. She quickly learned he does not lack personality. He’s a vocal cat who enjoys following his owner everywhere (she must be in his line of sight), enjoys snugging the minute she comes home and in the middle of the night, suckles like a kitten, has an attitude like no other pet Alicia has had before and is a bit of a bully, and has caused his mommy to lose a year of life expectancy due to lack of sleep. Does he drive her crazy? Yes! But does she love him like the dickens? Yes! She will do whatever it takes for this fur baby to live a good, long life.
Animals and pets have always been an important part of Alicia’s life. No animal is a stranger to her. She has helped stray/lost but found animals get help and taken to a shelter, as well as shelled out a large chunk of money for surgery on a pet that was not hers but was in need of surgery and was being surrendered to the shelter due to being financially unable to pay for surgery. Alicia will tell you it’s all worth it and won’t bat an eye at getting an animal help. She also has a hard time taking handouts, but financially, she cannot continue to pay the vet bills and keep up with her everyday living bills. Any financial help you’re able to give towards Grayson’s surgery bill will be much appreciated, and she’ll be eternally grateful for.
