Support for Alima

UPDATE June 4, 2022 Hello everyone. We are now completing the fulfillment of the rewards for this gofundme. We apologize for the delay caused by covid. If you donated and have not net received your reward of hot sauce, drinks or meals please message @alimacuisine on instagram and let us know when you would like to come to the food truck to pick up your reward gifts. Please be sure to contact us befofe coming so we have your food prepared. The food truck is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 11:30 to 5pm at the Xtramark at 607 Rt 295, Old Chatham, NY. Please make an appointment so we are sure to have your food, drinks or hot sauce ready. July 31st will be the last day for collection, so please plan to come by then. Also, if you would like the limited edition postcard thank you note and have not already sent us your mailing address, please message that to us via Instagram. Larger donors will receive catering for various sized parties. Please reach out to arrange that with us. We shall send those folks private messages as well via the gofundme platform. We remain so very appreciative of your kindness which made the food truck possible!

UPDATE September 2, 2021: THANK YOU TO EVERYONE.  As we wrote to you individually, some of the rewards were delayed because of COVID19. Please send us your contact information (phone, mailing address and email) so that we can mail you cards, arrange pick up of meals or drinks from the food truck or organize catered events, depending upon which rewards your gift is to receive.  You may contact us through this platform or by emailing [email redacted] with Alima in the subject line.  Thank you.

After three years of Alima's Cuisine serving delicious Burkina Faso West African food out of tents at farmers' markets and pop-up restaurants, Alima is ready to step things up with a food truck! She has found a truck which needs some mechanical work as well as kitchen refurbishment. She has researched all of the necessary permits and paperwork. She has a wonderful logo designed! She has her great food and many return customers.  She, along with her amazing mother/business associate are hard-working upbeat women who know how to please the palate. Alima is translating her amazing fortitude into gaining all kinds of entrepreneurial energy and know-how so that she can well-provide for her three wonderful children as a single mother. Now she only needs to raise the funds for the purchase, auto repairs  and refurbishing of the food truck into a working nomadic kitchen. 



Once the food truck is ready, Alima's Cuisine will be able to serve the recipes handed down from her ancestors not only at farmers' markets, but also on busy streets, at baseball games and other gatherings (once gathering is safe again.) We shall also create a website for the business from which orders can be taken.



We have organized a series of rewards based on donations, but please donate any amount you wish. Even small donations of $5 or $10 add up and will help. Also, sharing this gofundme link to your social media will go far to help this fundraiser, so please, whether you can donate or not, consider sharing.

Alima is eager to get her food truck ready to open this summer.
