Help Alisha Allen Fight Leukaemia and HLH

Donation protected
Dear Family, Friends, and Kind-hearted Supporters,

It’s Sal here (Alisha’s aunty) reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support during this tough time, as our girl’s life has taken an unimaginable turn.

At almost 24 years old, Alisha has always embodied vitality- full of energy, love, and kindness. She was living her dream working as an oncology nurse at the Alfred Hospital whilst also pursuing her RN degree. She lives surrounded by her loving family and spending time with her wonderful boyfriend Jamie. Ali has built a close-knit circle of friends from all stages of her life—school, university, nursing, and sport.

It is known that Ali has a deep passion for sports—she’s been an active player and supporter in football, netball, and cricket since she was young. Growing up playing footy and netball for the Pines Juniors and Pines Junior Cricket, she later joined the Pines Football Netball Club playing both women’s footy and netball. Summers were spent playing cricket for the Pines Senior Cricket Club. Ali also played netball for the Dolphins Football Netball Club and more recently, played cricket for Crib Point. Ali not only played with all her heart but also mentored younger players, umpiring games and giving back to the community she loved so much.

Ali was enjoying a three week holiday visiting Queensland and NSW, where she met with our extended family in Maitland. It was at the end of the holiday whilst staying in the Blue Mountains with Jamie, that Ali began to feel unwell. None of us would have expected the whirlwind that was to come.

As many of you may already know that 18 days ago, Ali was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), a fast-growing cancer of the blood and bone marrow. To make matters worse her body has developed a rare and dangerous condition known as Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). This extreme inflammatory response has seen Ali placed in an induced coma for 8 days to protect her brain and on dialysis to support her organs as she fights for her life. Her condition is fragile and each day poses a new threat to her health as new complications arise, nothing has been straightforward in her fight with this disease.

The only certainty is that Ali has a long journey ahead to beat the ALL and HLH that have got a grip on her. We all know she is up to the challenge but she does need our help to fight this battle and rebuild her life, both physically and financially. Right now, Ali’s priority must be looking after herself and not worrying about financial stress.

Ali’s family—her parents Jen and Trev, her siblings Daniel and Tegan are by her side every step of the way, but the last few years have been tough for everyone and circumstances have made it difficult them to offer the 100% full financial support that they want to. I am humbly asking for your donations on their behalf to ease the financial burdens so that recovery can remain the focus.

How You Can Help:

No donation is too small. Whether it's $5 or more, every bit helps and adds up to make a real difference. If you're unable to donate, simply sharing this page with your friends, family, and social networks can help provide Ali with the support she needs.

Alisha's spirit is unbreakable, but she needs us to help her stay strong. Your kindness and generosity will not only lighten her financial load but will provide the emotional strength she needs to continue fighting with all her heart.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love, your support, and your generosity. Together, we can help Ali win this battle and rebuild the bright future that she deserves.

With gratitude,
Sal (Ali’s Aunty) and Family
