Help Alisha Fight Brain Cancer
Donation protected
My name is Shanon and I am launching this campaign on behalf of a fellow mom, nurse, and friend. Alisha's life changed drastically in June of 2023, and our goal is to ease some of the burden that brain cancer has placed on Alisha and her beautiful family. Every donation is so greatly appreciated.
From Alisha
"Hi,
I haven’t had the opportunity to ask for help until now due to what my condition is.
Many know what condition I have, but just to allow everyone to understand why I have been the way I am it’s - Brain Cancer - Specifically: Glioblastoma, Grade 4, iDh Wildtype, Methylated (Left temporal & Thalamus — tumors).
First signs started June 20th 2023.
Surgery performed August 10th 2023.
Treatment: 6 weeks of Chemo & Radiation everyday in Norwich.
MRI pictures performed multiple times (and to continue on for life) - no increase & no decrease found.
I am now part of Dana-Farber in Boston,MA for a new Clinical trial Treatment Shot to take along with my Oral Chemotherapy.
Traveling from Brooklyn,CT to Boston,MA - a full day experience of blood draw, meetings, and medication treatment. All while still having to see my Neuro Oncologist at Hartford Healthcare as well. Still very limited to my driving times due to having a mental seizure post operation in recovery. My family and friends are donating their time, money and gas to help support me in my travels for all of my appointments.
As much as I love spending time with Alaina every day I am currently still unable/allowed to work. I have been away from my amazing full time job as a Nurse to which I miss terribly. I really want to get back to spending time with my colleagues and doing what I enjoy most, helping people.
I’m currently on leave and awaiting disability payment.
Now that I have the opportunity to ask for help, I appreciate it and feel so thankful.
Thank you for your thoughts, words, and prayers."
