Support Alisha Through Her Breast Cancer Journey

Donation protected
Hello. I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of a dear friend, Alisha Coleman. This sweet, hardworking single mother and her family have been touched by cancer several times. In 2004, Alisha was diagnosed with and treated for Hodgkin 2A Lymphoma. Then in 2016, her 16-year-old daughter was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma bone cancer. After a year of treatments, a spot developed on her lungs. The doctors decided to monitor its progression over the next few years. In 2021, her daughter received another cancer diagnosis and had to have the area surgically removed. At the beginning of this year, the spot reappeared and she is currently undergoing oral chemotherapy treatment.

In April of this year, Alisha developed some discomfort at the site of her port from her previous cancer treatment. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with breast cancer that required her to have a double mastectomy, reconstruction surgery, and now she is undergoing chemotherapy.

To protect her immune system, Alisha has taken a leave of abscence from both of her jobs. I pray this fundraiser will raise enough proceeds to alleviate Alisha's financial burdens over the next few months. She needs time to recover not only for herself but also so she can care for her 12-year-old son and provide support for her daughter throughout her cancer treatments.

Please consider leaving Alisha and her daughter words of encouragement on this page as well. I have found that hearing from those who care about you fills the heart with healing that medicine cannot provide. Thank you for your support.

"Cancer is not a death sentence. Yes, it’s an illness. But, I am not dead, and I chose to live."
