Help Alison and Kate to complete New French Song (2)

Hi, my name is Alison Smart Fisher and I'm a classically-trained professional singer. I have commissioned 10 fabulous new songs for voice and piano which I've recently recorded with my piano duo partner the wonderful Katharine Durran. To get these tracks edited and 'out there' is a big cost so I'm asking your help with this. The new songs are a set called New French Song (2). They're 10 luscious and fascinating miniatures (duration 2-4 mins) which tell a story of Nature, the awakenings of love, a discord, sadness, solitude, and a return to Nature with a blazing finale Sunset.

The ten composers each chose a poem from the selection I had made from the past 8 centuries up to the present day. All in French - the language of lovers!- and so beautiful. The composers are: Cecilia McDowall, Shirley J. Thompson, Joanna Forbes L'Estrange, Emily Hall, Kerry Andrew, Lesley-Jane Rogers, Helen Neeves, Deirdre Gribbin, Grainne Mulvey, Millicent B. James. An amazing line-up!

The songs are great to listen to and also to sing and play. They're very immediate and gratifying with an average degree of difficulty in both piano and voice parts around ABRSM Grace 6-7. So they're suitable for lots of people - and will bring an element of grace and calm in to their audience's day.

Divine Arts recording label has agreed to take this on, pairing it with New French Song which Kate and I commissioned and recorded 20 years ago exactly.
