Donate to Help Fund Beds for Youth Shelters

We are The Giving Spirit Youth Council, a group of 7 high school students committed to service, invested in the alleviation of poverty in Los Angeles, and devoted to the mission of The Giving Spirit to play a role in this humanitarian crisis.

We are raising money to fund beds in youth shelters ran by Hope Housing for Students to support those striving for an education, but lack the right circumstances. This long-term initiative complements The Giving Spirit's immediate aid.

Hope Housing for Students' Mission:

"We provide hope to community college students experiencing housing instability.

An estimated 36% of university students and 60% of community college students are listed as housing insecure in California.

We provide access to fully furnished accommodations, meals, internet, academic support, mental health services, and case management at a critical junction in their lives. Our goal is not just to provide beds, but to nurture the future leaders of tomorrow."

The Giving Spirit is a 501(c)(3) organization.
