Help Allie Brasfield Recover from Rattlesnake Bite
Donation protected
This GoFundMe is set up for 7-year-old Allie Brasfield. After a busy day of jiu-jitsu and wrestling, she took a jog near Gilbert Regional Park. Not aware of a rattlesnake, she got bit on the ankle.
Her parents were unaware of the bite, no one saw the snake and there were no bite marks, and they thought it was a sprained ankle. After an hour, her pain worsened, and her parents took her to the nearest Children's Hospital. She had X-rays and was told to go home.
Time went by, and her leg worsened, so her parents took her to another hospital. That hospital couldn't find any problems. She was misdiagnosed until they arrived at Phoenix Children's Hospital, where she received the diagnosis of a rattlesnake bite. She went 30 hours from bite to diagnosis.
She has had over 40 antivenom vials, costing $1,000- $14,000 per vial. Insurance doesn't always cover antivenom, she required two surgeries to save her leg, and she will need a third next Monday, September 30. They're asking for prayers and if you'd like to help financially, this will help with hospital bills and recovery charges.
We are asking Allie's friends, family, Wrestling, Jiu-Jitsu, and Muay Thai community to come together and help out.
Any amount helps. Let's help out our Allie!
