Help Allie Grace get well and home to her family

11/3/23
Hey yall! Im setting up this fundraiser to help with Allie’s vet stay and her care/medicine afterwards. As some of you know, Allie was hit by a vehicle Wednesday morning. I took her to the vet and due to her being in shock, a high heart rate, and other factors, she was given meds to help calm her down and relieve some of her pain. Then on Thursday, she was lightly sedated so the necessary X-rays could be taken. They said she had been eating good, but not even attempting to put any weight on her back legs. I went this morning to visit with Allie and got to speak with the dr about the results. She has 2 fractures on the left side of her pelvis, but the Dr said that they were not big enough or significant enough to keep her from at least attempting to put weight on her right side. Thats where the bad news comes in. We are afraid that there is possibly a spinal cord injury and that’s what is keeping her from working the back legs. She also can’t pee or poop voluntarily. The Dr said when he mashes on her bladder she will urinate but her body isn’t telling her bladder when to release. She will be staying under the vet’s care until at least Monday. Possibly longer. She will also need special care and medications to help control her pain once she comes home. As of 10:30 this morning, Allie’s stay and trauma care has racked up a bill of almost $600. She has at least 3 more days there that will make that number climb even higher.
If you know my family, then you know that Allie is part of it. She’s actually the favorite child of mine She has been with us since before Alivia was born and we are all looking forward to her coming back home with us. I truly believe that once she gets home she will be more eager to move and it will help motivate her to move her legs and eventually stand and walk.
If you are able to make a donation toward her bill, any amount will be greatly appreciated. If you are not able to donate, you can help by sharing Allie’s story.

Thanks yall

11/5 update: There is no real change. The nurse said Allie still has a great appetite, but there is still no change in her mobility. I will be going to visit again in the morning and talk to the dr again. I still have high hopes that she can come home and will be more willing to try to move around once she’s in familiar surroundings.

11/6 update: My girl got to come home today!!!!! ❤️ Not before racking up a BIG bill for me though ‍♀️ Even though she’s home, she’s not completely out of the woods yet. She is trying to move around, which is great, but I also don’t want her to hurt herself any worse. Dr Blake and I discussed a possible set of wheels for her to help her get around. Hopefully she will fully recover in a few months and not need them after that. There is also the issue of her using the bathroom. Although she did urinate once on her own today, she obviously can’t let me know when she needs to go now so I’m thinking doggy diapers temporarily, or puppy pads everywhere. She also needs to be shaved down so cleaning her up is easier. It’s going to be a lot of work to care for her until she’s well, but I’m willing to put in the work if it means she gets to stay with us longer. It’s also going to cost extra money. I’m so thankful for those who have already donated. I couldn’t do this without the help. If anyone else is able to donate to help with expenses, I will be forever grateful
