Help Allie pay court fines for environmental protests

Donation protected
Hi there! I'm Allie and I'm asking for donations to help pay my court fines.

In April 2023 I went to my first Just Stop Oil meeting. It was here where I truly learned how bad things are and how nobody is coming to save us. From May-October I was arrested four times for a variety of peaceful protests aimed at raising discussion of climate change and the need to ween off fossil fuels that we know are killing the planet and the people on it.

My first arrest was in Parliament Square on May 3rd, the day after the Public Order Act 2023 received royal assent. This law was explicitly created to target groups like Extinction Rebellion, Just Stop Oil and Insulate Britain. I was banned from Westminster never went to court for this as the first group that did got a not-guilty verdict so my case was thrown out.

My second arrest was hanger lane. This was also on the date of more anti-protest legislation coming into affect.
I recently had my trial for this case. There were 8 arrests and we ended up being tried in 3 groups, one of 4, one of 3 and one of 1. The groups of 4 and 1 got not guilty verdicts. My group of 3 got guilty. This is for the exact same action, just different judges. We all received court costs of £250, a fine of £300 and whatever the "surcharge" is for of £120.

My third arrest was for criminal damage because I (and 7 other wonderful people) sprayed paint on the lobby of the London HQ of TotalEnergies. This was because they are building the largest heated oil pipeline ever, right through a nature reserve and fresh drinking water supply. They have forced families from their homes and countless human rights abuses have occurred, all in the name of more oil which will kill even more people. I thought we were doing gym-wear but I was the only one who didn't get the memo that we'd changed to doing business wear ‍‍♀️

At trial for this my trial group were found guilty and given a fine of £200 and "compensation", no idea who this goes to, of £300.

Between my 3rd and 4th arrest I helped temporarily stop a coach headed to the Bibby Stockholm barge. This is essentially a prison for people fleeing wars. We weren't able to halt the coach as long as hoped due to the driver trying to run us over. This was after being stopped; the driver decided to run a group of people over. At one point I fell under the moving coach but a comrade pulled me out from underneath before a wheel found my body.

There were 3 arrests, none of which were me.

My 4th and final arrest was also at parliament square. Police held me for 54 hours "until court" and then released me, having held the hearing in my absence, without anyone there to represent me. I didn't know this was happening as I was in my cell, screaming for help and spamming the button as nobody would come. I was then banned from London for months. All for 15ish minutes of walking around parliament square.

In court for this I was found not-guilty as the officer who arrested me for blocking a road, never saw me in a road

All in all, it was a wild year and I'm glad to have all my court cases finally finished. I don't judge myself based off the laws I may or may not have broken, I judge myself based off my own internal morals and I know I did what is right. My total legal costs come to
£1170. I have set the target for this fundraiser to £1200 to allow for fees taken by the platform. Thank you to anyone who chooses to support me.

Love and rage, Allie ❤️
