Help Allison Dobson Beat Her 3rd Cancer!

Hello! My name is Allison Dobson (You may know me by my legal/deadname Aaron Matthew Dobson)! I am a 22 year old with an unfortunate history with cancer due to Li-Fraumeni Syndrome. Li-Fraumeni Syndrome is characterized by a mutation of one p53 gene which causes said gene to not regulate cancer effectively. My brother and I inherited this faulty gene from our mother, who did not know she had this gene until after having us. Unfortunately, both my mom and brother passed away from cancers they developed due to this mutation.

I have had 2 cancers in the past due to Li-Fraumeni: A Rhabdomyosarcoma as a child and a spindle cell sarcoma of the brain at 18 years old. That second cancer caused a tumor and hemorrhage which led to a stroke of the right side, and I am still suffering from weakness and foot drop in my right leg. That hemorrhage also caused me to develop epilepsy, which prevents me from driving.

Now, at 22, I am fighting my 3rd cancer: Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) (caused again by this gene mutation) which we became aware of in June 2024. My immediate family consists of only my dad and I (and our two dogs, Finn and Mordy). My dad had to retire from his job as a landscape contractor at the start of this year due to multiple health concerns of his own, and my disabilities and constant health issues make it incredibly difficult to find work and work experience.
