Help Ally Zacovic Fund Protest for Animal Justice

Hi everyone,

Most of you know the Brooke Scalero case.

We are having our protest on February 11 at the Maricopa County attorneys office,

225 West Madison street in Phoenix from 11 am - 2 pm!

I need help with blown up photo board and flyers costs!

I just had to pay a $700 unexpected emergency vet bill. Those are my funds to help cover the cost of the picket boards as well as the flyers.

I had a meeting with PETA regarding the protest and our goals. One of the tips they gave me was to have handouts ready to go to give to every car and or person that comes by.

We are protesting for all of the animal, cruelty cases that continuously go on prosecuted by the Maricopa county attorneys office, even when they have substantial sufficient evidence to move forward with charges. Due to this ongoing issue the officers in the various cities in Maricopa County no longer take these cases seriously or are willing to do the work to pursue the charges because they have told us time after time that they will just be dropped due to not due to no likelihood of conviction, even when there is video evidence of dogs being beat and tortured.

The officers and detectives are tired. They are frustrated. The community is frustrated. The rescues in the community are frustrated as we are the ones that have to continuously step in and fix the problem that the elected officials are put in place to do. Throughout Rachel Mitchell’s campaign she stuck to her lines of how she is tough on crime, and is a prosecutor not a politician. She goes to state that there is no excuse to not uphold the law. But yet here we are time and time again.

This protest is extremely important and it is the first step in moving forward to get the laws that are in place enforced to get resolution for these situations.

Maricopa county has only prosecuted 100 animal cruelty cases in the past three years.

That is a huge problem.
