- Allyson Aucoin is 23 years old and was just diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Ovarian cancer at 23! She thought she had just put on some extra weight, but when she started having stomach pain that become too much to bear, her mother took her to the ER. Before she knew what was happening, she was in an ambulance heading to Maine Medical Center where she underwent emergency surgery. They removed a 17lb mass along with her appendix and one ovary. They tested the mass which revealed the cancer. The medical bills have started to arrive and they are just going to increase. This young girl needs your help! She is looking at 6 cycles of chemotherapy that will each be 3 weeks long, but she will first endure another surgery to look for answers, as this type of cancer is very rare in someone so young. Allyson just graduated with a bachelor's degree in veterinary technology and has been working her new job for only a month. She has helped foster hundreds of kittens. She has a big heart and a huge love for animals. Please help this young girl so she doesn't drown in medical bills and can instead, focus on her treatment and getting better.
