Help Alonzo Walk Again: Support His Recovery

Hello friends and family, Alonzo here! For those who may not know, I got into a scary motorcycle accident this month that nearly took my life. I am currently in medical rehab, and I am not too sure how long I will be here or if I will have to go to another facility once I finish this one. Unfortunately, I am paralyzed from the waist down. The doctors found a broken hand, a tear in my liver, 8 fractured ribs which caused a puncture in my right lung, allowing blood in the lung, and multiple different fractures in my spine which paralyzed me on impact. By the grace of GOD, I was found as soon as possible and was taken to UC Davis hospital where I got immediate surgery the same day! This is going to be a very hard recovery journey for me, which I, like most people, have never experienced anything like this in my life. It’s very scary, but I am doing my absolute best to stay strong and positive! My main goal is to beat the odds and be able to walk again within a year with as much Physical Therapy and prayer as possible!

So this is where I am asking for help from anyone who can afford it; absolutely ANYTHING is appreciated! Since I no longer have transportation or a job, I am starting this GoFundMe to help me raise funds to help with all my future medical expenses, including things such as extensive Physical Therapy, in-home care, wheelchairs, supplies for wounds, cranes, support bars, weights to gain my upper body strength, and so much more! Unfortunately, my current living situation is not accommodated for wheelchair living at all since all rooms are upstairs. So we are going to either have to do some remodeling to the home, which won’t be very convenient seeing how I will need to have somewhere to live as soon as I am out of my medical rehab, which usually only lasts about 2 weeks. Another option is to try to find some sort of housing that will accommodate wheelchair living. This is going to be another huge challenge for me!
