I am Dana Al-Tawil, 21 years old, and I study software engineering at Al-Azhar University

I present to you my message from the bereaved city of Gaza.

After our displacement from our city of Gaza at the beginning of the war, our suffering began, as I and my extended family lived a life full of love, affection, and happiness. Each of us spent our day with our interests and lessons.

As an engineering student, I cannot tell you how strong my passion for my field of work is. I worked hard in my university field. I enrolled in programming courses and started working on my projects and freelance websites.

But now my university has been completely destroyed and my dreams in this war have faded.

We lost our home in Gaza and quickly moved to a house relative to us, which was destroyed. We escaped with our lives, then to a tent, and now to a house in danger of collapsing.

My family and I already have no shelter anymore. We no longer have money to meet our needs. I am not talking to you about a few individuals. We are a complete family of nine individuals

I have done my best to provide this aspect of financial support so that I can help my family and complete my educational career by submitting my final exams on electronic platforms, and all of this requires money.

Help me continue my career and successes and satisfy my family’s hunger by providing a living. Share my message and spread it to everyone. We need your support for us. This is my university, Al-Azhar University. It has been destroyed and targeted several times because it is an educational university that seeks to produce successful, educated generations. Here I was an engineering student, and I studied the first and second levels there, but I was unable to join my third level. So, is this where my educational career ended?!

This house, which was bombed, is no longer a shelter for me and my family. It was our refuge and safety. In this picture, it has not returned, but with it has gone the memories of me and my family, our laughter, and our life. I met Dana's sister, Maram online couple of month ago, and we made a friendship, and she told me stories about her family, her lovely 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

As months passed, Maram introduced me to her sisters, and I became a witness of their day-to-day resilience. I found myself admiring those three young university students, both of them with full of enthusiasm and a deep feeling of love for life, fighting with circumstances nobody should ever experience. But they have had, and they have showed extraordinary strength with the most humble and loving spirit living through the impossible.

I believe the heart what is tested so deeply and goes through such an unimaginable pain becomes a diamond. And Dana, and her sisters and her family are the ones who are the holder of a rare value which this world wishes to destroy, and for that reason, we should do our very best to protect that diamond.
