Help Althea with her Cancer Medical Expenses

On January 29, 2022 my moms world was rocked when she received a phone call saying her routine mammogram was abnormal. Two days later she had an ultrasound that was abnormal as well. Four days later she had a biopsy and on February 9, 2022 she received the devastating news that she had Infiltrating Mammary Carcinoma. After months of doctor appointments and intensive testing including a MRI, CT Scan and A Dexa Scan my mom finally under went major surgery on May 17th. Unfortunately, she will still require one or two more surgeries in the next few months. My mom is still pending the final results of her tumor that was sent to a specialty laboratory in Los Angeles to determine the likelihood of reoccurrence. The results will also dictate additional medical treatment.

This experience has taken an enormous toll on her subsistence and our family. Despite this life changing event she has handled the devastating diagnosis surprisingly well and she has held her composure so she would not scare me and my siblings.

Even though my mom has medical insurance her medical bills are starting to pile up as well other bills because life doesn’t stop for a medical diagnosis. As a single mother she could use support during this difficult time.
