Help Alyssa and Darrell's Family After Fire Loss
Donation protected
I'm sharing this on behalf of my sister Alyssa and her family who lost their home in the L.A. fires....
Alyssa met Darrell shortly after he arrived in the U.S. from England with just a suitcase. Alyssa was a teacher and Darrell was trying to make it in the video game industry. Together they worked hard and built a beautiful life for their two boys in Los Angeles.
Devastatingly, they lost their home and everything they had in the Pacific Palisades fire, leaving with only few items. Not only did they lose their home but their entire community, which they were rooted in and deeply love. There is a long road ahead to rebuild their home and far greater demands that insurance covers.
We want to help them get back on their feet, especially with day-to-day essentials and things their teenage boys need to resume school and activities. Like other displaced families, they still need to pay their mortgage while incurring the additional short-term rental costs.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
While the recovery will be long, they feel so much comfort and strength having the support from family, friends, and their community.
Thank you all so much for your love and support. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by these fires navigating new paths ahead.
