Amanda lost her home
Donation protected
My name is Amelia, and my incredible sister Amanda Gotera lost her home and absolutely everything in it to the Eaton Fire in Altadena, California, on Tuesday Jan 7th. I'm organizing support for her from northern Iowa.

Before the fire reached her small rental home in the foothills, Amanda was able to flee to safety with a handful of belongings. But she lost literally everything else. Your contributions will help Amanda through this challenging time.
If you’re here, you already know that Amanda is a brilliant, hilarious and all-together beautiful human. She’s a talented and scrappy filmmaker, crafter, and writer for children’s animation. She has always taken care of her people, stood unwaveringly for what is right, and poured herself into the work of storytelling as a radical force for change.
I am asking for your donation to help our sweet Amanda.
Amanda will be the direct beneficiary of what you donate here. Due to her home burning down- she has no permanent address. My address in Iowa will be utilized paired with Amanda’s personal bank account so that she can receive and manage the funds you have donated.
Thank you so much for any support you can give — including sharing this fundraiser to help our girl.
Amanda would also like to acknowledge the context of the neighborhood she’s been calling home. Altadena is an important historically-Black community, and there are so many Black families who have also been displaced by the Eaton Fire. If you are safe and have the resources, please consider supporting one of their fundraising projects at the link below: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1pK5omSsD4KGhjEHCVgcVw-rd4FZP9haoijEx1mSAm5c/htmlview
