Help Amanda & Austin survive February.

Hello everyone! My name is Austin, and I’m starting this go fund me to support my family through a really difficult period in our lives.

My wife Amanda is 9 months pregnant and we’re about to welcome our new baby boy into the world within the next couple weeks. While Amanda is struggling to move / help around the house during the last stages of pregnancy, I went and shattered my ankle while slipping on the ice last week. I now need to have surgery on my ankle, putting me out of work and struggling to help my wife / family during this time. If that wasn’t enough, we still have a 2.5 year old toddler and a 9 month old puppy who we need to support during this time as well.

I have applied for PFML (paid medical leave) through the state for my injury and the pregnancy, however this will take at least 3 or 4 weeks to kick in… leaving our finances in serious trouble in the meantime. We are not sure if we are going to be able to pay our bills in February; not to mention the impending medical bills that await us at the end of the month.

Neither of us feel comfortable asking for financial assistance from friends and family, but I’m not sure what else to do.

Any donations made to this GoFundMe account will be used solely for paying bills, daycare costs, dog boarding, groceries, or any other expense associated with Amanda’s labor or my Injury. This will help us stay out of debt and see us through the whirlwind that is coming for us in February.

Please do not feel obligated to donate, the world is crazy and we realize everyone is struggling. But if you are able to, we are truly grateful..
