Help Amanda Pay Medical Costs
We are reaching out to you as friends and family to help Amanda Brunclik. On May 31st, Amanda went into the hospital to have outpatient laparoscopic surgery (with a 6-8 day recovery time) to remove her diseased gallbladder. Her surgery went terribly wrong, resulting in a huge amount of blood loss and an open surgery to discover and repair a major artery nicked during surgery. Immediately after surgery Amanda was sent to ICU where she was kept on a ventilator overnight to receive 24 hour supervision by the skilled nursing staff and very concerned family members. Time in intensive care to keep her alive involved many uncomfortable blood draws, blood transfusions, laying in one position for many hours, and being hooked up to many tangled wires and machines.
Amanda continued to be hospitalized for 6 days to help her begin to recuperate from the damage done during surgery and get back on her feet. With her strong will, spiritual beliefs ,and the support of loving family, friends and coworkers she is now on the road to recovery, but the road ahead has many bumps and ruts. Numerous medical visits for herself, and family prior to the surgery, combined with the surgery costs and extended 6 day hospitalization ,has left the family with HUGE MEDICAL BILLS.
Amanda’s post surgery treatment includes pain medication, rest, no lifting for several weeks, and not returning to her job as a social worker for 6-8 weeks. Not being able to care for herself and her family as usual has put a tremendous strain on Amanda and her family both emotionally and financially. Their pocketbooks are already stretched beyond their control.
Many folks have already helped Amanda in so many ways. Bringing meals, driving her to appointments, visiting, caring for their 3 children, cleaning, mowing lawn and just being there for her. We are asking that you, as family and friends, continue that emotional and spiritual support by helping Amanda cover the costs of their escalating medical expenses.
Our goal to help Amanda with the stresses of paying these huge expenses is $15,000. We would sure appreciate you support in reaching this goal!
