Help Amanda Knight Kick Cancers Ass!!!
On behalf of the Rehab Team from Elderwood of Burlington Vermont we have set up this GoFundMe for Amanda Knight recently diagnosed with metastatic Breast Cancer. Amanda is a wife to Carrie and mother to Kastle, a beautiful 18 month old baby girl. They bought a house a year ago in Richmond, VT where they call home. She is a wonderful friend and amazing Occupational Therapist working as part of the Rehab Team at Elderwood of Burlington. Recently, she was diagnosed with Triple Negative Metastatic Breast Cancer (TNBC) which, before the advent of new approaches in chemotherapy, has a typical median survival of only 13 months. Amanda and Carrie got opinions from UVM, Dana Farber, Dartmouth and traveled to the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Chicago. After meeting with the oncologist in Chicago they have been given new hope with a treatment emphasizing metronomic, sequential and immunotherapies to CURE this devastating disease and return her home to her baby girl in good health. Amanda is unable to work and Carrie will be taking FMLA to take this journey together. Amanda had her first dose of chemo last week and will continue treatments for which they will travel to Chicago bi-weekly and then weekly. Our Rehab Team which is like family would like to ask you to donate to help relieve some of the financial burden for things that may not be covered by insurance.
