Help Amber Battle Brain Cancer

My Name is Tammy and I am raising funds for my 35 year old daughter, mother of 3, who has been recently diagnosed with a glioblastoma. A very aggresive brain cancer. The heartbreak I have felt as her mother, hearing the words brain tumor, then later glioblastoma has been terrifying. Yet, My Amber has faced every challenge on this path with grace and dignity.

She has had 3 brain surgeries in 3 weeks. 1) biopsy, 1) craniotomy and 1) shunt placement. She is getting ready to begin chemo and proton beam radiation treatments, which will last for a few months and this is just the beginning of our fight. Amber has been very brave and strong throughout every step of this journey and will continue to battle resiliently, every day.

We are very grateful for the doctors and all the staff at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix for their relentless desire to fight this battle with us, to do everything in their power to give us the gift of time. Time for Amber to spend more time with her children and family, time for her to experience more of what this beautiful life has to offer, time for her to live her dreams, time for us to hold her close, longer.... precious time.

Due to this illness, Amber had to leave a career she loved. This puts additional financal stress on her family. As with most major medical issues, the cost of treatment continues to increase and will only grow larger as this fight goes on. Any donations received will be used for medical bills, to subsidize Amber's pay check, travel to and from Mayo everyday during treatment,(an hour drive each way), and to assist with the up-coming holidays for her children.
