Help Amber Heal and Recover

My name is Michelle and I have started this fundraiser on behalf of my sister Amber and her family.

As many of you know, Amber suffered a devastating stroke the morning of December 23rd, right before her absolute favourite holiday, Christmas. She had complete paralysis on her right side and lost the ability to speak except for one word, Michelle ❤️. She is now in the process of re-learning how to speak, swallow, walk and move the right side of her body again. She is making amazing progress but it will be a very long road to recovery.

Ambers Husband Mike (also known as “Mr. Medium”) is currently taking care of Amber in hospital, bringing her what she needs and cuddling her to sleep every night (strokes are scary!). He and our mom are already 11 days in on a hotel stay without a clear end in site. We aren’t sure when he will be able to return to work and of course Amber won’t be able to work for a very long time. They also have two kids and two pups at home. The last thing they need to be worrying about is paying the bills when they are going through something like this. Let’s help them with this burden.

Mike was initially hesitant about starting a campaign (he also didn’t realize they don’t have critical illness insurance) but sometimes you need to swallow your pride and allow others to help!

While they aren’t rich themselves, Amber and Mike are the kind of people that sponsor seniors (as well as entire families) every single Christmas and are always the first to help in situations such as this. Let’s do the same for them. ❤️❤️❤️
