Help Amber receive medical care!

Hi, my name is Regina. My dear friend Amber Wilkes was in a horrific car accident last July in Houston. She was fasting for a medical test and sadly passed out while driving. She sustained multiple injuries, keeping her in ICU for months. Unfortunately, her bowels were severed from the steering wheel, her legs were both shattered, including her femur. Her hip and pelvic bones were fractured in many places. She also had injuies and surgery on her wrist and big toe! Most of the trauma was to her abdomin, which she will need one more surgery to remove an ostomy. It was and is a moment to moment recovery.

Amber was able to come home in November, although she was still unable to walk and care for herself. She is living with her Grandma and working hard everyday to become independent again.

Amber needs a corrective surgery to reconnect her bowels, physical therapy and many more tests. As we all know, insurance will only cover so much, having over 10 operations. She has reached her limit and they are denying her for the upcoming tests needed to allow her to have this last surgery. If you can help Amber, it would be a huge blessing.
