Help Ambria & Ezrah recover after their loss

My name is Ambria, this fundraiser is for me & my boyfriend Ezrah. Two weeks ago on 4/10/22 my worst nightmare came true. We had to lay our sweet boy Petey to rest. Petey was my ESA, and spent 8 long years by my side. He was the best dog anyone could ask for, he truly saved my life. I have never loved anything or anyone the way I loved him. This was tragic & completely unexpected. Petey was in perfect health, and was showing no signs of something being wrong. In the early afternoon of 4/10 he started getting sick & not acting like himself. Ezrah rushed him to the hospital, and I met him there. They took him back immediately & we anxiously waited for hours in the parking lot. When the Dr. finally called, she spoke the words that we weren't prepared for. He was bleeding internally, was septic, and we needed to say our goodbyes. They couldn't figure out why, and said there was no way we could've known something was wrong sooner than we did. In a split second, my world came crashing down. We had to make the gut wrenching decision to lay our sweet baby boy to rest.

Petey's vet bill was $2,000 and we are now in debt and severely struggling. We just recently moved & had no savings. We are low income and already live paycheck to paycheck. This loss has turned our lives upside down and left us completely broke and broken. We are both hard working, independent people, and this is a last ditch effort for us. It's very hard for us to put our pride aside and ask for help, but we are out of options. We just lost our baby, and we can't lose everything else on top of that. We haven't been able to properly grieve, because we are so stressed out about making the money to pay our bills. Our electric ($145) is due April 25th, our rent ($1,000) is due on May 1st, and our car insurance ($110) is due on May 5th. That is just our main bills, not including phone bills, food and other necessities. We have never been in a position like this, where we're unable to pay any of our bills. We both go back to work this upcoming week (we took time off when Petey passed) but we aren't going to have the money we need in time. We have been trying to do grubhub every day to make some fast cash, but our car is old and falling apart (a whole other expense that isn't even included in this) and limits how long we can drive. Please, if you can find it in your heart, anything will help us at this point. We are good people, experiencing the kind of loss that is earth shattering.
