Help my niece Luna beat Leukemia!
Donation protected
Meet my niece Amelia Luna Roy Trinidad, a precious 2-year-old resident of Iriga City, Camarines Sur, Philippines. Luna was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), a type of aggresive blood cancer that no child should ever endure.
We started this fundraiser to support Luna and her family's battle against Leukemia. We are thousands of miles away, but we are determined to do everything we can to ensure that Luna overcome this and find her way to a bright future.
Donations raised will be directed towards her hospital bills, medication and chemotherapy treatment. Your kind support will help offset the financial burden of this family especially since Luna has no health insurance to cover her medical expenses. We hope to raise funds to support her parents, Kathleen Joy Roy Trinidad and Rolan Trinidad take time off work and be at Luna's side throughout this journey which is surely the most difficult thing they will ever endure.
Any amount that you’re comfortable with will go a long way and will be greatly appreciated. You may also share your donations via GCash and direct bank deposit:

Diagnosis and Treatment
What started out as a high fever quickly turned into B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia diagnosis and admission at Bicol Regional Hospital and Medical Center (BRHMC), Legazpi, Philippines on September 9, 2023. The doctors requested a bone marrow aspiration and biopsy because her cell line (her blood) numbers were all alarmingly low. Shortly after, she had many many blood draws and was put on intense antibiotics and received continuous blood transfusions.
While having her first dose of chemotherapy, Luna had a devastating complication: Acute Abdomen Sec to Multiple Colonic Perforation with Fecal Peritonitis Prob Sec to Bowel Ischemia. Chemo treatments were immediately stopped in preparation for Exploratory Laparotomy where she also had Double Barrel Colostomy, Colorrhaphy, Evacuation of Fecal Peritonitis. The surgery was successful, but doctors find that her response to antibiotics was very poor and she suffered with complete wound dehiscence and also had intra abdominal abscess (K. Oyxtoca) and abscess on her right forearm.
She has endured many difficult procedures and surgeries and has been confined in BRHMC for almost 2 months. Her parents is looking to transfer Luna in one of the best private hospitals in the Philippines where she will continue her treatment as Luna's condition require complex therapeutic regimens and supportive care. Her treatment will be 2-3 years long, depending on further testing and how the cancer reacts with her treatment protocol. She will be on chemo medications, steroids and colostomy care for the foreseeable future.
We are astounded by the strength and resilience that Luna has shown this past two months. She is a fighter and we are determined to get through this challenge with love and positivity!
We hope to post updates on Luna's condition periodically. Luna is so full of life, curiosity, and laughter and we cannot wait for her to return to some kind of normal routine. In the meantime, here are some photos of our dear Luna, we hope that her joy of life shines through you! If you feel so inclined, please feel free to forward this campaign.
Sending love from the entire Roy-Trinidad family!
