Help baby Jood and his parents Amgad and Ayat in Gaza

Donation protected
Hi,
My name is Maaria and I’m from Manchester, in the UK. I’m helping the family of Amgad, a nurse in Gaza, Palestine to raise money to either rebuild their home after it was set on fire by the IDF, or to evacuate from Gaza. Please consider donating so that Amgad and his wife Ayat, their baby boy Jood (born August 22nd 2024) and his extended family, including several children, can have real hope that they can have a safe home again. Funds raised are also used for basic necessities for survival including food, clean water and hygiene/baby products. Here is Amgad’s story, in his own words:

Hello, my name is Amgad Shraim and I am a Palestinian from Gaza. I work as a nurse at Al-Shifa Hospital. I got married only 9 months ago.
Today, I come to you with an urgent appeal that comes straight from my heart. My family and I are in desperate need of your support, and time is of the essence. We reach out to you with heavy hearts and a deep sense of hope as we share the story

Dear friends, family, and community. We are a family of 20 people, my wife, my father, and 3 brothers, each of whom has children and my sister. We lived together in one house containing 5 apartments.
The occupation burned our homes: my home, my family’s home, and my brothers’ home. We have nothing left, and we face the bitter reality of homelessness as soon as this war ends.
We were living in our house in the west of Gaza, but after this genocide began, I had to migrate to the south of Gaza with my family in order to survive after our house and all of our area in which we lived were burned and completely destroyed.

The conditions we have been living in since the first day of our displacement are very harsh and indescribable. We suffer from everything. We are struggling to obtain the simplest necessities of life. We left everything behind and left our homes and everything was burned. My mother and father were sick with high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease. Unfortunately, conditions here are deteriorating rapidly. My mother was very tired in the past period, without a medical mattress or treatment, and there were ulcers in her lower back. In the end, my mother died on Friday, January 12, 2024. My wife is 5 months pregnant and wants a warm shelter after giving birth. **((MY Father, aged 85, has heart disease no medicine and is getting weaker. )) **
The impact of the war left us facing the arduous task of rehabilitating our house from scratch after it was burned
But there is a glimmer of hope amidst this darkness. With your support and generous donations, we can rebuild our lives after the house burned down. Every donation, no matter how small, will have a big impact.

Your help means a lot as we desperately try to rebuild and think of better days to come. Every donation, big or small, helps us start mending our broken dreams. I am sincerely and deeply asking all the good people to help me share my story and message to the world. Thank you for your support and understanding during this difficult time. Your contribution means a new life for me and my family. It also means compassion and solidarity for justice and the preservation of human life. Thank you.
