Hi Friends,

My sister lost everything in Hurricane Helene, and she needs our help.

My name is William Jackson. I am a psychologist and former Buddhist monk raising money for my sister and her family.

My sister's home and belongings were destroyed by Hurricane Helene, which hit North Carolina on September 27th, 2024.

What is left of the bridge

The kid's Tiny house they were staying in while their house was in mid-construction.

Their Yard that was grass and flowers is now a dried riverbed.

In the few years before the hurricane hit, my sister Ami had moved her family to North Carolina to start a new life. She had invested her time, effort, and savings in creating a home. As you can see by the pictures, her property and the storage facility that was lent to her were destroyed.

It took me almost a week to get out of her the extent of the damage and what kind of funds she needs to restart her life, as she has been a survivor and self-made individual.

If you have the ability to help out and help her and her family start again, it would change their lives.

It is uncertain what FEMA will or will not cover in the wreckage but assured her just the bridge itself would max out their support. She needed special flood insurance for most things to be covered, so she has the following to replace:

A well that got washed away
A septic system
Possibly the bridge in their driveway over a small stream that turned into a raging river
Basic repairs to their tiny house
Replacing appliances
Clothing
Bed frames, mattresses, and bedding
A couch and other basic furniture
Basic electronics
And 100 other basic things people need, which you don't think about until you have lost everything.
