Help Amina Attend Howard University

Hello my name is Amina Wague!

I am a graduating senior from the Philadelphia High School for Girls and will be attending Howard University in the fall.

Through this fundraiser I aim to finance my books and supplies, as well as room and board on campus. In the fall I will be moving away from my family in Philadelphia, and entering a new world in Washington D.C. any and all donations are appreciated! Thank you for your support! ❤️

 In high school I was the student government Vice President for three years as well as the President of two clubs: Medical Career Association and Girls High Votes. I have always been a student athlete and was captain of both varsity volleyball and lacrosse teams. Taking AP classes as well as college credit courses at the University of Chicago and Carnegie Mellon University I have always aspired to further my education.

My love for studying the humanities and social sciences has developed directly through my desire to help others and discover new ways to do so. I wish to double major in psychology and social work, working towards my PhD in Psychology and Masters degree in Social Work. Howard University is well versed in building the flowing potential from aspirational students.

Applying to this top HBCU I knew that applying to scholarships would be fundamental in financing my education. I was fortunate enough to earn half of the tuition in merit scholarships due to my high gpa, academic, and extracurricular achievements. The other half was earned through the Jordan Wings scholarship. This go fund me is covering what has been left over, or is not able to be covered using my academic resume such as transportation to campus and university textbooks.
