Help Amina Go to World Of Dance!

Hi everyone! My name is Amina Brown, I’m 22 and I’m a professional dancer from Philadelphia. I have a great opportunity to compete with my company at the World of Dance Championships in California and would love to share my story with you all. To get more of an understanding about what this is for, I’m currently a member of one of the top commercial hip hip dance companies in Philadelphia, Creative Reaction, and we have the opportunity to travel to California to compete in the World of Dance championship. We were able to receive this by placing 2nd place at the New Jersey World of Dance competition which automatically made us eligible for championship round. However, with this trip comes a lot of expenses from travel, registration fee, food, transportation while in California and etc. While this is an amazing opportunity I’m being presented, I’m also in a position of having to find housing for myself as well. As I’m currently staying with a good friend/teammate of mine, unfortunately I need to move out at the end of July as the lease will be up. With this being the circumstance, I haven’t been able to financially support both this opportunity in my career and my housing. I am currently working a job along with other side gigs and professional jobs in my career, however the financial stability I planned to have has not been able to cover both priorities in my life. I’ve work really hard to figure out solutions to support both priorities as certain financial circumstances around my job and last minute trip expenses have occurred. I’ve come to realize I need loving assistance from those who believe and support me to make this happen. For those who may not know more of my story, I’ve been dancing since I was 12 years old and one of my biggest goals was to be able to attend a World of Dance competition. I’ve went years watching so many talented dancers and companies compete at World of Dance which really inspired me and pushed me to work hard. Now I have that same opportunity to follow that dream 10 years later after all the hard work, dedication, passion and love I’ve given dance. I’m very driven and focused in this art form as I see it to be my career. I share a lot of my work and the work I put in with this company to the world to show my passion and love for what I do. This assistance would go towards emergency funds & basic necessities while in California along with a better financial plan to fund housing for myself. I know this is a last minute announcement from me to ask my love ones and supporters to help but I really would regret missing one of the biggest opportunities in my career if I didn’t speak up at all. I’m grateful for any and all assistance anyone can give and it’s greatly appreciate you all just for reading this and hearing my story. I’m thankful for everyone who does support me and believes in me as I go through this journey as a professional dancer.
