Help Amir, Teresa, Maya, and Noah Rebuild After the Devastating Palisades Fire

Dear family, friends, and community:

Yesterday, along with so many, our beautiful family - Amir, Teresa, Maya (3), and Noah (1) - lost their beloved rental home in the Pacific Palisades. Amir’s art studio, photography equipment, and supplies were destroyed as well. The fire took everything but their cars and the clothes on their backs.

We hope that you will consider helping, in any way that you are able so that they can start to rebuild.

A note from Amir & Teresa:

With profound sadness, we share that Tribal Markers maker shop and our home, known to many as Mothertree, have been engulfed in the Palisades Fires.

This land was so much more than just a home. It was where we based our work and business out of, countless souls gathered in music, dance, and prayer. Both our children, Maya Luna and Noa Sol, were birthed into this world—under the shelter of the trees, surrounded by love, nature, and the incredible community that has made Mothertree what it is. It was where they took their first steps, laughed, played, and grew in the embrace of a Beautiful tribe.

Mothertree and Tribal Markers has been a place of connection, healing, and transformation for so many.

Each person who passed through this space added their own rhythm, their own beat to our family, making it richer and more meaningful.

Losing this sanctuary, in the heart of a city along with our families belongings and irreplaceable memories, is a loss we are still trying to process. The fire may have taken our physical home, but it hasn’t taken the spirit of Mothertree or the vision that grew here.

For now, we are closing shop as we grieve and begin dreaming of how to rise from these ashes—stronger, rooted in community, and guided by nature’s wisdom.
