Help Ami's Family Overcome Shea's Loss
Donation protected
Hello, I'm Ami and this is my daughter Shea. Shea had CHARGE syndrome. She was nonverbal and faced many challenges in her short life. She was a handful. When she wanted something or was upset, she let you know. She loved light up toys and music.
On June 13th, I woke up for work. I was getting her cleaned up for the day. She started breathing very fast and short. She then collapsed and I called 911. I did chest compressions until help arrived. They did everything they could to save her, but she was gone. It was terrifying and heartbreaking for my family. She wasn't easy to care for but we loved her and will miss her. We sat at the hospital for hours with her, telling our best memories with her. We held her hands and cried.
We are now faced with funeral expenses, missed work, and the loss of her SSI check which covered rent every month. I've created this to see if I could get a little help so we can focus on moving forward and not stressing about money. Any little bit helps and will be greatly appreciated. Thankfully, half of her cremation has been paid by her aunt, which is a huge blessing.
Those who knew her and loved her, thank you.
