Help Amr Evacuate Gaza

Hello friends, family, and allies,

My name is Suad Sadek, I currently live in Lancaster, PA, but I grew up in Gaza. It pains me to see my beautiful home and all my childhood memories tainted by what the IOF is doing to my people’s land. However, something that brings me comfort during these scary times is knowing most of my family is safe. They all have people to rely on and they keep one another protected during these tough times. All except for my 18-year-old cousin, Amr. Amr’s family coincidentally left Gaza a few months before the genocide started, leaving Amr to finish high school and take care of their home, until he could eventually rejoin them after his graduation. Unfortunately, since they’ve left, things have drastically changed in Gaza.

Amr has had to go through so much torture alone in the past few months. After his school was destroyed by the IOF, he lost all records of his status, and he will most likely never get recognition for graduating high school. He has also become the sole caretaker for his uncle who is on the autism spectrum. Amr has put his life in danger more than once to provide for those around him, including the over dozen people he welcomed into his home after they fled from Gaza to Rafah. He has done all he can but he is just a young child and should not have to bear the burden of all this pain and struggle. Please help us ensure Amr is reunited with his family so he can lean on them and begin to heal from all he’s witnessed.

Amr’s entire family is currently living in the West Bank and have been holding their breath since October 7th, terrified they’ll get a call telling them their son was killed. This fundraiser is aimed to help Amr raise the money he needs to evacuate and join his family. Currently, the only way out of Gaza is through the Egyptian boarder, and Egypt has been forcing people to pay anywhere from 5,000 - 10,000 US dollars to evacuate. We appreciate anything you can donate to help and we are forever grateful for your kindness.

Update 3/6/2024: we reached our 5K goal in less than 2 days!! THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone who helped us, the support we’ve received has left us speechless ❤️ We will continue to keep this GFM page open for anyone who wants to help with Amr’s extra fees. Although we reached the 5k needed to evacuate, Amr will have to stay in Egypt until he is allowed to leave for the West Bank, where his family is. (Entry into the West Bank is currently being blocked by the IOF.) Any extra funds collected will be used to help Amr with necessities in Egypt such as housing/food/water/clothes/etc.
