Help a Family Affected by a House Fire

Hello all I’m Dawid and I would like to share the story of Amrit , our neighbour, and his family who have recently been struck by an unfortunate incident that has left in critical need of help just before Christmas.

Amrit lives with his wife Kulwinder and two beautiful twin daughters Asees and Amrita who are both just under 2 years old. This lovely family moved to their new flat in West London in February 2023 to start a new chapter in their lives. Amrit works within the IT industry and together with his wife work tirelessly to provide the best life for their daughters that they possibly can.

Everything looked to go in the right direction until the afternoon of 19th December 2023 where this lovely family have become victims of an unfortunate house fire that has resulted in them losing almost all their personal possessions as well as essential items for work.

The family has been in their flat when they have smelled smoke and felt the flat get progressively warmer before being made aware of a fire that has started in their flat. The fire began spreading rapidly and with it consuming the families personal possessions such as clothes, furniture, household items and a large amount of electronics which is essential for Amrit’s work. Whilst everyone is preparing to have a joyful Christmas, the same can’t be said for Amrit and his family who are now faced with a lot of anxiety and stress. Although the fire brigade worked hard to put out the fire the pictures show the great extent of damage caused.

Luckily the family was uninjured however the emotional trauma that they have had to endure is devastating with the whole community of residents working hard to ensure that they are receiving the right support.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to help the family acquire the much needed items that they have lost in the fire that are essential in their everyday life and the jobs they work so that they can leave this traumatic event behind and look ahead towards what the future brings them.

Amrit and his family are kind-hearted, hard working people who have moved to the UK to provide a bright future for their children and the accident is absolutely heartbreaking.
