THANK YOU for Helping Amy to Fight Endo
Donation protected
Amy always puts others first, and is the first to step up and offer help to others... but this time, she urgently needs our help to raise the funds needed for surgery, scheduled for NEXT WEEK!
What's Needed
Due to the severity of her Endometriosis symptoms, and how much this disease has spread throughout her body - surgery is needed urgently.
The closest Endometriosis Specialist (Endometriosis is not Endometrium) and Excision Surgeon (type of surgery she should have had and needs desperately) is located in Atlanta, Georgia, 5 hours away.
This procedure will require the entire deductibles for the year for Amy to be paid up-front, a total of $22K!! This family already has massive medical debt from the past 10 years of medical bills - for past procedures and the wrong type of surgeries that caused her more pain - so they've exhausted all resources available to them previously. This surgery will be her first with an Endo Specialist who knows how to properly remove these Endometriosis cells and repair the damage to a list of organs.
That's where we need to come in, to help this wonderful woman and her beautiful family!
Who Is Amy?
For those that don't know her, Amy is a wife, mother, daughter, sister, volleyball coach, volunteer, room mom/chaperone, on the board for a local nonprofit, works full time... and an Endometriosis Warrior (most don't know that part because she always has a smile on her face).
She's basically an amazing human, a mentor for so many young kids, and the first to volunteer to offer help to anyone in this community.
More About Her Story
After a decade of suffering immense unexplained chronic pelvic and spine pain, major symptoms, misdiagnoses, four wrong medical procedures, horrific medications, not being listened to or believed, ER trips, and the (wrong) surgery that FINALLY diagnosed her with Endometriosis in January 2023. Amy has what's categorized as "end game" Endometriosis - DIE (Deep Infiltrating Endometriosis) or Frozen Pelvis that has "super-glued" her organs together in concrete-like cell growth, that extends from her hips to her lungs and spine (and everything in between).
The crippling part, is that Endo cells spread similarly to cancer cells. She's most likely had this since she was 12, first put on birth control at 15 to manage her extreme symptoms (cramps would knock her to the ground and cycles that made her anemic, even way back then). That means it took Drs almost 30 years to properly diagnose the problem!! This also means these cells can and have spread to any part of her body, and already left this family with thousands of dollars in medical debt (not included in this fundraiser).
To use her words, "Daily, it feels like the bottom of my spine and pelvic bone are in a vice grip or being stabbed with a large metal corkscrew going through my organs, all day long. Running, sitting, bending, driving… always. Pain can be so intense I can see spots sometimes like I'm blacking out, and basic pain medication makes me nauseous. The Endo cells inflame and bleed, but that blood has nowhere to go so the pain this causes results in intense fatigue. To others, I look normal on the outside, but from the inside, I'm very very sick."
Please Help
Help us to provide Amy with some hope, support, and the proper treatment for the first time, and hopefully some relief finally after so many years of pain and mistreatment.
