Help Amy get Facial Feminisation Surgery (FFS)!

Hey, thanks for stopping by! I've started this page on behalf of my dearest Amy, who's looking to get Facial Feminisation Surgery (FFS) in the near future, a procedure that would change her life both in terms of her self perception as well as moving through the world as a trans woman.

As you might be aware the care the NHS provides for trans people is, to put it mildly, fucking appalling. Every shred of treatment must be fought for, with many types entirely unavailable. FFS is one such procedure, something any trans person who wants it should be able to access easily and for free (in my humble, correct opinion). However this is not the world we currently live in, and so we must frequently look to the private sector to get the healthcare we are entitled to.

FFS is a reconstructive procedure - think less "new face" and more "face without the effects of a testosterone-dominated puberty." To loosely quote Amy herself, "this procedure will help me look more like me". Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is amazing, and can and does change one's appearance drastically. But there are limits to itss powers and sadly no amount of girl juice will change your facial bone structure. Hearing Amy describe what this would do for her has been incredibly moving, and also deeply sad that this is not simply avaliable to her. And so here we are, changing that fact (hopefully, with your help. And crucially, with your money).

We are hoping to raise enough for Amy to travel to Armenia to get this done, for both financial practicality (this surgery ain't cheap anywhere, but can get frighteningly expensive, especially the further west you look) and because her prospective surgeon Ann Slutskaya is one of the best in the world at exactly this kind of work. Funds raised will pay for the surgeries themselves, travel to and from Armenia, housing for her and someone (probably me) to take care of her during her stay, and some spare money for living/any complications. This has been estimated to be around £16,000, but depending on the specific procedures Amy decides to pursue and a few other variables this target may need to be raised or lowered in the future. Amy is one of the kindest, most giving, and selflessly caring people I have ever known. I cannot express how lucky I am to be so close to her, and this fundraiser is a drop in the ocean compared to what she has done for me. She deserves every happiness this world can provide, and to be able to access this care would truly be life changing for her.
