Over the last few months, Amy Hirsch has been battling for her health, losing her upper and lower body function, which has led to several mobility issues. Amy progressed from walking with a cane, then was moved to a walker and eventually became reliant on using a travel wheelchair. Two weeks ago, under the care of some of the best surgeons in the country, Amy had a complex neck operation to address these issues. Once stable post-surgery, Amy was moved to acute rehab.

To say it’s been one of the most challenging times in Amy's life and that of her two daughters, Elisa and Leah, is an understatement. Elisa and Leah have been caring for Amy along with the help of aides. They are hopeful that this treatment will improve Amy's quality of life, and as Amy returns home from acute rehab, many have reached out to ask how they can help the family through this critical next step.
