Help Amy Pearson Lanka Fight Cancer

Hello Friends and Family,
It hurts our hearts to share with you that our sister Amy is currently battling an aggressive form of cancer known as triple negative breast cancer. At this time, she is undergoing chemotherapy and will soon have a mastectomy and lymph nodes removed, followed by radiation. The side effects of her chemo are grueling and some days make it unbearable to work, move or sleep, let alone function at the pace she is used to. Because of the treatment she has been undergoing the last few months, her upcoming surgery and extended hospital stays due to complications from chemo, she has lost the majority of her income. Her everyday bills are piling up. The vast amount of medical bills have made the most common bills insurmountable.
Amy works at a veterinary clinic and also takes care of many animals from cats and dogs to sheep and horses. Rarely, if ever, has she taken a full day off. As she has said each year when going to work on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day, "Animals don't know it's a holiday, they still need to be fed and taken care of." Since her diagnosis, she has had to miss a considerable amount of work and her income is now a fraction of what it was before. Soon she will have surgery and will be out of work (and income) for some time.
The last thing we want is for our sister to be worrying and stressing about how she is going to pay these everyday expenses and medical bills during this battle. We want Amy to be able to focus all of her energy on rest, recovery, staying positive and doing what she needs to do to get healthy and fight this cancer.
Amy's cancer diagnosis came at a routine physical three months ago. Any one of us could be in this situation and have their life change in an instant. We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for reading this and we hope you are in a position to help. Any amount you are able to donate would be greatly appreciated and help to ease the financial and emotional burden.
Love,
Greta Pearson & Nicole Pearson Madsen
