Help Amy Repair Her Bear-Damaged Truck

Donation protected

Hello friends, family, and Potomac Valley Community. As many of you know, a delightful bear decided to break into Amy's pickup and make itself at home last week. Unfortunately, Amy had just put in about $2,000 to get her truck fixed before this event, and this surprise visitor did some major damage, making her truck unsafe to drive. The bear opened a closed front door, which ended up closing him inside her truck! He, understandably, got scared and tried to go through the front window. He tore the headliner to shreds, broke the dash, broke the front seat, and tried to eat the side door. The back seat also sustained damage. He also shattered the back door window and bent the frame to that same door.

Amy, Tyler, and family are more than willing to put the time and energy into fixing the pickup, but they need a little help getting the parts, and it will need to be detailed because the bear urinated and did other things (you know what I mean) that will all need to be cleaned up. Amy tried to make an insurance claim, but she only has liability, and the insurance company said that something like this is considered vandalism, and they won't cover that.

Amy has always been a great friend and community member, and I hope we can team together to help her so she can get this fixed before winter really starts so she will have a working pickup that is SAFE and not stinky!
