Help Amy Walker Recover

On the 2nd October 2023, Amy Walker was involved in a serious car accident - She instinctively swerved to miss a large kangaroo on the way to work and drove straight into a line of large sandstone rocks which sent the car catapulting into the air and landing with incredibly force, only narrowly missing a telegraph pole and trees but unfortunately going through a fence and luckily stopping only cms from hitting a house.
The result of the blunt force of the car crash has sadly resulted in a unstable open fracture to Amy's L1 Lumbar Spine. Amy was rushed in for emergency surgery that night to repair the fracture with pins and rods. Doctors have advised Amy she is incredibly lucky to be alive and not be a paraplegic.
Amy remains in Nepean Hospital and will be moved to the Matilda Rehabilitation Centre soon to begin the long road of rehabilitation and recovery.
At this stage, Amy is able to walk very short distance with the help of a walker and medical professionals.
If you have ever met Amy, you would know her for her bubbly and friendly personality and above all her love of horses! Amy is always the first to put her hand up to assist others in need.
Amy is renowned for rehoming unwanted and older horses, she puts her heart and soul into ensuring all her animals are well cared for - She currently has 4 horses, 2 dogs and 2 cats! As we all know, animals (especially horses) are expensive to feed and care for.
All funds raised, will not only aid Amy in her long road to recovery but will help cover the cost of feeding her horses, cats and dogs.
Lets dig deep to help Amy!
