Help an Afghan refugee family resettle in Chicago

Hi everyone. A group of friends and family have joined together to ‘adopt’ a family that recently fled Afghanistan. With the help of the Refugee Community Connection we are helping this family (mom, dad and four sons ages 10,8,6, and 1) resettle in Chicago. They have been here for two months and have beds and bedding but through the help of an interpreter learned from mom that her sons do not have many clothes and their apartment is unfurnished. The father is injured and cannot work. Any donations will go directly to the family. We are taking the mom shopping for needed items for the family so they can settle into their life in Chicago. When we know more about the kids we may ask for gently used items as well. Thanks for your consideration.
