Capital Fund for Helping Poor Widows in Africa
Donation protected
Hello Friends....In case we haven't met, I'm Kathy the Joyful Widow of Widow Coaching, located in San Diego, California USA. I am a Christian Business & Life Coach for Female Entrepreneurs & Widows.
A year ago I partnered with #CWWE, #Christian #Widows
#Widowers Empowered #Nigeria, to help provide funds for badly needed necessities, like food. Thanks to all of you who have donated to this worthy cause. Your contributions helped us feed over 100 widows and their children during our recent food drive. Now we are taking our partnership a step further by providing small loans to widows to either start a sustainable business or to help expand existing businesses.
Throughout Africa, widows often suffer a double loss: when their husbands die, the assets they should inherit are taken by their in-laws, many times pushing these widow and their children into poverty over night. There are very few, if any public assistance programs for #AfricanWidows. They have no Social Security for the children, no unemployment and no #welfare.
With your help we can a change this. For as little as $50-$100, a widow can start becoming self-sufficient. And because these will be 6 month loans, your donation will be used over and over again. How would you feel to be part of something that will change the lives of widows and their children for years to come?
So I'm asking you to look deep into your hearts and imagine if this was you. A parent who had no way to feed your starving children. We all want to give our children everything, but at least the bare necessities to live. Now you and I can offer HOPE to many widows throughout Africa to becoming self-sufficient, which they all long for.
If you still have children at home, how about discussing this as a family and make the decision to "adopt a widow and her children." How awesome this would be to teach your children what it means to care for others, especially the widows and the orphans.
As a widow living in the USA I'm grateful for the support I have, while it pains me to see widows in Africa with none. So please friends, do what you feel called to do and help me to show these widows that we care. Our intention is to initially raise $2000 with loans of $50-$100 per widow, being re-paid after 6 months. Then another group of widows will be blessed with a loan to start or build on their existing business. Your gift will keep on giving!
Thank you friends for your consideration. If $50 or more is not doable, please give what you can. Any amount will be greatly appreciated!
"Give a woman a fish, and you feed her for a day. Teach a woman to fish, and you feed her for a lifetime!"
Please share and God bless you all!
