Help an American WWII hero scammed out of savings
Donation protected
Floyd Smith is an American hero, and this is your chance to help him out. Floyd is 92 years old and a WWII veteran who served on a U.S. Navy cruiser in the Pacific. A few years ago, Floyd loaned $10,800 to a con man by the name of Mark Gleizer who took advantage of Floyd’s kindness and generosity. Despite living on a fixed income, Floyd loaned the money believing Gleizer would pay it back promptly. When Gleizer failed to repay, Floyd filed a lawsuit on his own and won a judgment. Unfortunately, Floyd has not been able to collect anything on the judgment and the balance owed stands at $10,274.59. With your help, we can help Floyd get back to where he would have been had Gleizer not taken advantage of Floyd’s kindness.
Floyd is represented by Fred Meine of Coleman & Horowitt on a pro bono (free) basis. Mr. Meine undertook the effort to collect on the judgment against Gleizer but has determined that there is no realistic chance of collecting any amount from Gleizer. Mr. Meine is coordinating the GoFundMe campaign with the intent of delivering all proceeds to Floyd on Christmas Eve.
