HELP GEORGE TUN SEIN KEEP HIS ART STUDIO IN NYC

Hello friends,

I have been a long-time admirer and collector of George Tun Sein's paintings and I am trying to help my dear friend raise urgently needed funds so that he can stay in his NYC studio rental where he has been for over 20 years. It serves as both his residence and art studio and the lease expires July 30. He is looking to raise $4,800 to avoid eviction and renew his lease for another year.

Painting is his livelihood and having this art studio in Uptown Manhattan is essential for George to continue his work. His works have been collected in twenty-five countries and shown in the following New York galleries: Tally Beck Contemporary and Delbert Arthur and at Chase Edwards in Bridgehampton, New York. On Instagram Chase Edwards Contemporary posted a photo of his “Squares of January”, 48 x 70 oil painting, and wrote “One of the most incredible artists of our time. George Tun Sein’s IS the real deal."

He is seeking commissions to paint canvasses for those who love art and would love a canvas for the walls of their home. Painting has been his passion and livelihood for over two decades but the post-pandemic art market has seen a shrinkage in sales to an extent where he needs to reach out for support to be able to afford rent. He will paint canvasses of 12x12, 20x20, and 24x24 inches in exchange for monetary support between $200-$500, although a donation of ANY amount is deeply appreciated! The canvas will be in the color and tone of your choice (cream, mauve, yellow, olive green, orange, blue, etc) and styled like the one shown in the abstract painting image above, Blue Caprice, oil on canvas, 48 x 48 inches.
