HELP AN ASSAULT VICTIM PAY FOR GLASSES

A few weeks ago my friend and I were assaulted my a complete stranger. We were walking together and a man groped her as he passed us. We both said something about it, but I was hit. I was punched and shoved down into oncoming traffic. As a result, my glasses were destroyed, my ankle was sprained, and i developed a herniated disc. (Jan 6th: Currently it is January and I still cannot walk well or even put on socks without pain)

I am legally blind and my glasses are vital to my day-to-day life.  My assailant turned out to be a repeat offender on parole, and my chances of receiving any restitution from him are assumed to be nonexistent. I am asking for help so that I may pay to replace my glasses and travel to and from doctor appointments. I cannot be compensated by the state unless I pay first and even then, i was alerted the process would be months long so i am stuck. I do not work because of my disabilities and can not get help from family.
