Help an Indian Trans Woman Studying in America

Hi, I'm organizing this on behalf of a friend named Divya. She is an Indian trans woman, who is currently a graduate student in America. Her situation has become untenable due to the ongoing pandemic, and she faces an extremely hostile living situation back home. Divya's situation is urgent, and we hope to be able to raise the money in the next 3-4 days to address her needs. 

Here's her story:

"I moved to the United States in 2019 to pursue a graduate degree at a university in New York state, and am currently struggling to cover my expenses. I am unable to find a job, not only due to COVID, but also the restrictive employment regulations imposed on international students. I'm dealing with a tense situation with my parents in India, because I am trans, and have basically been disowned at this point. The $2500 I'm looking to raise will help cover: my rent, upcoming tuition payments, and living expenses. I would greatly appreciate any help during this difficult time. Thank you so much."
