Help an Orc Find New Teeth

Friends, some of you have seen me talk about this on Facebook. I've been on dialysis for ten years. The last step in my battle to get onto the kidney transplant list was to remove the teeth that had rotted away in my head from years of calcium deficiency. You see, any small infection I might get would be amplified with a transplant and immunosuppressants. And so, all but four teeth were removed from my head, as you can see in this picture in which I resemble an orc. I would like to chew again and also have a passable smile in hopes of seeking future employment. I first looked into dental implants but it turns out they cost as much as a new car. Settling on dentures, I finally have an estimate: $3900. Alas, Medicare does not cover dentures and being tied to a dialysis machine four times a week leaves my body too drained for a job.

At the same time, the coordinators for the kidney transplant list recommend that my bank account has a savings of $500 to pay for immunosuppressant meds, which I certainly do not have. So I’m coming to you, heart (and teeth) in hand, hoping you can lend a few dollars towards new mastication prostheses and my future as a kidney-having person.
