Help An Perry Rebuild After Eaton Canyon Fire

Donation protected
My name is Lucinda Carver. I've been a friend and colleague of Antoinette ('An') Perry on the piano faculty of the USC Thornton School of Music for 25 years. Two days ago, An lost her home, her worldly possessions, and above all, her beloved pianos (a 9' Steinway D and her mother's 7' Hamburg Steinway) in the Eaton Canyon fire.

Despite the fire raging in Altadena, she hired two piano movers and tried to get in and save them, but when they arrived, her home was already in flames and they could not be safely moved. Needless to say, she is devastated - the instruments were the pianos of her dreams and are of course truly irreplaceable. An's mother had also been a very fine pianist and teacher; An brought her mom's Hamburg Steinway to Altadena after her mother became too ill to play it any longer. Her instruments were insured, but not nearly enough to replace even one of them in today's dollars.

Please help in any way to make up the difference. Antoinette Perry has touched so very many lives through her brilliant performances and beautiful teaching throughout her long career, and I know that she is deeply loved. Anything you can offer to help would be greatly appreciated. Please join me in sending An all our love and support at this horrendous time. All funds that are raised will go directly to Antoinette Perry.

Thank you,

Lucinda
