Help an Trans Artist Get Out of an Bad Situation

Hello! Thank you for taking time to learn about my situation. I'll be going as A so this fundraising campaign cannot be connected back to me by the people in real life who I want to keep this a secret from. I am in my twenties. I am reaching out and relying on the kindness of strangers to get me out of my current situation.

After a tough year where I lost my housing and job I was forced back in with my abusive mother and her son, with the full intent of getting a new job. For a short while I relied on art commissions via my social media and things were looking up. Unfortunately, at the start of the year I had a company that hired me completely stiff me on a 600$ payment and then shortly after I tore the ligament in my arm and had to wear a brace; making me unable to fulfill any more commissions and getting denied by any employer who required physical labor. Now 600$ poorer and no way to continue making an income I had to start relying on what few limited savings I had to get by. I have five cats who have medical issues (one has seizures but all of them have a serious skin issues - needing to be washed and moisturized very often while staying away from foods that aggravate it) who take up a good deal of my profit, though I love them very much; they have brought me immeasurable comfort and companionship during these difficult times and it is my duty to provide them with a good life.

Only a week after getting my arm brace removed my dad who lived elsewhere was found murdered. In addition to the horrible state the event had me in I was required to use what was left of my savings for the expenses. He also left to me his large senior dog with his own set of issues (Lymes Disease + dry skin)to take care of.

My mother considers me stuck at her house all the better. She is old school and believes deeply that I should be taking care of everything around the house because I was afab. Her (58) and her son (26) make the house a hoarded mess and expect me to clean it all myself. Despite her son also being home all day with no job he is allowed to sleep and watch tv while I run around trying to take care of myself and my animals as well as her and her son. Any attempt to bring this up to her sends her into violent fits where she starts screaming and throwing things, accusing me of hating her "baby boy". Her and her son take no issue with physically attacking me and blaming all their financial problems on me despite never using their money on me. When she gets in these fits she starts threatening the animals - saying she'll take them out to the woods or worse knowing it'll get me worked up and angry. My friends have tried coming by to support me but she spread hateful and embarrassing rumors about them and for their own mental health they no longer come around. I keep searching for jobs but our town is small and any available jobs are too far. Without a car/license applying to them is fruitless.

While looking at available jobs an hour from my mother's house I came across a house for sale. It had been bought by a flipper who abandoned it part way through, leaving it cheap (in comparison to others in the area). The house is a mess, but something about it gave me hope for the future. It is walking distance from multiple job opportunities and has a small yard I could fence in for the dog. I could see myself living in this house.

It's time for me to break free from this cycle of abuse and create a safe environment for myself and the pets I hold so dear. With your support, I aim to raise funds to purchase and move to this house in a town far from my circumstances, get the appliances it's missing, and a few other things to fix the things the previous owner left behind.
